Case studies Dutch Government The problem A department of the Dutch Government had an IT network that was spread across approximately 100 locations in the Netherlands. The problem was that it was taking employees at least 15 to 30 minutes to record the status of each network device during regular inventories. In total, this amounted to at least 10 weeks of work – a costly and unsustainable waste of time. The solution Ugula implemented Opsware’s Network Automation System (NAS). This innovative piece of technology automates the operational life-cycle of all network devices, which makes managing and controlling the department’s network devices much easier.
